Outside Of Memory

Outside Of Memory

In this
flame
I see
her face
as no
other
can see
it gives
light
to something
delicate
perhaps too
delicate to be
it waxes
like a
forgotten moon
upon her
palest sky
nestled
beyond
the demanding
clouds
where our
dreams
all go
to die
I wish
I was
a better
man
someone
all angels
could see
to steady
this colossal
clasp
from her
deepest sea
to unburden
her chance
to sing
our song
outside of
memory
to summon
new dew
from her
quaking clouds
for misplaced
serendipity
to reign
our
momentary
treasures
to bare
to shine
as starlight
before our
time
fleeting like
raindrops
tasted
before
quenching
this long
tread line
letting my
heart to
course
anew
and drift
accord to
this rented
sight
