In-Between

Brian Baruch

the texture of memories pester past tears welling up with reprisal's undaunted gathering

these storm ever near with forlorn winding fears

battening down the unfinished latches of karmic ridges

I tread the festering calmly to wither to fall torridly toward to cross

un-privy to the rising chorus gathering beneath this canvas of time

hollow as a stillness that clamors for defeat — I huddle unto parched clay beached beside your river

wholesomely you flow sharing unto each soul

surfacing security with no reflection no sound

I plunge myself deeply therein shedding these in-between spaces to confide inwoven by your rising
